This week Gary and I met up with his friend, Mark, and his wife, Beth, who love The Lord but Gary and Mark haven’t seen each other in 35 years. We got to exchange stories of God working in our lives over the years. Every time Gary and I rehash those crazy, incredible, hard to believe years, I think surely we ought to write a book before we get Alzheimer’s.

Working at GMS is no joke, there’s constant work, sanctifying and humiliating work. Praising Our Savior all the day long still. The owner and his helper has poured sweat and tears into building this thing and with God’s blessing, His Mercy, His Provision, with much prayer and petition, it continues to thrive and grow fruit! Fruit from the reaping, fruit from the sweat, fruit from the work that no one else put in. Some can do it, come on board and consider all things a blessing and some are called away because God has others plans for them. I always say, GMS is not the end all be all but while you are here, for as long as God allows, Grow, Learn, Live, Love! It’s already done. What I have told Gary through the intensity of many situations, is that if our people don’t find Joy and Christ’s humility in the madness of what God calls us to do here, we will surely die. But this is exactly what God has done with me and for that I am extremely grateful because In Him, The Joy of The Lord is my strength. Gary doesn’t quite understand me and questions what I am saying; I chuckle at him with my sweet smile yet he knows I am as serious as a heart attack.

This weekend, June 24th 2023 we came rolling into a 9 acre ranch in Texas that we will call home for as long God allows. I get to take over the farmers work, I get to feed the goats, ducks, deer, fish. I get to gather the eggs, I get to take what has already been done and enjoy the journey. As I am feeding, as I am caring for the animals, I am sweating profusely in this 110 degree weather but not like the farmer. I wish I could say these deer love me, but they don’t know me, I’m only doing what the farmer did, feeding them. I did not have to teach them to come, they just came. It’s already done.

So truly it is even more with Jesus, My Savior! I did no work to get to have Salvation, it was given to me all because of Jesus, because of His Mercy. He did not look on me with judgement, He looked on me with Love and Gave Himself. How can I not receive joyfully the work ahead. The path is paved, I get to walk on it and not look to the left or right, but I am stayed where He paved! So it is, Mercy triumphs over judgement! It’s already done.

Beautiful Glorious God! Go Family! God has blessed us with His Salvation which we did no work to earn! Believer, How can we not Live Joyfully at our Glorious Reality and Truth! Praise God and let the people know The Hope. He always finishes what He starts! Keep going with The Joy of The Lord! Praying this morning for those who do not have this blessed assurance. The harvest is full folks.
