God’s Divine Story of A Rooster we never knew we needed.

His Word always bears fruit in season. Blessed are those who wait patiently and expectantly for the harvest🥭

When The Blood of Jesus comes to Life In His people we realize we have nothing to offer but everything to gain!

Have you ever wished you had an opportunity to pounce on a person and then when the opportunity came, Christ took over and it became a situation of epic and amazing Grace.

He is Good to those who wait.

This is a story about a rooster we didn’t even know we wanted or needed. We thought all of the babies we got in May 2024 were chickens until they grew up and behold, God gave us one rooster all for His Glory and Amazing Grace.

When Olivia and I were in New York, November 7, 2024, our rooster (named Red) had become angry and was becoming more aggressive to our duck (Gwen) And to me and others coming in to feed. The bigger he grew, the worse he got, wanting to peck our legs and feet to death. So our guys took him out (Gary said Blake and Tanner took him out to pasture). I said okay, do what you have to do sweetie. It was exhausting daily having to play games with the rooster so that we could go in and feed the goats and the duck. So beforehand Gary and I would have to throw food in from the outside so the rooster would be distracted by eating the food so we could enter the pen without him knowing. If he caught me walking in to the pen, Red would start running toward me, I’d have to grab my stick and gently knock him but still he would return with even more aggression.

So after Olivia and I came home, going to feed the goats and the duck without the rooster was weird because now it was a pleasant experience, it was quiet, outer peace, no more fear or having to worry whether the rooster was going to hardcore come after us and peck us to death. I had honestly mentioned this to Gary because it was so nice not to worry or or be anxious thinking about it.

A couple days later we are out there, in fact, the morning of Gary’s 62nd birthday feeding them again and Gary says to me very humbly and with all seriousness (as if he had pondered this over the last few days).
“Do you think I’m like the rooster?”. So caught off guard, that never crossed my mind (comparing him to the rooster) so as I thought about what he meant I said you mean pecking people til they hurt or are killed? He says, yeah it just seems so peaceful without him. Now my heart sunk with the gospel heavy in heart (Father help me I uttered under my breath). Christ sent me straight to the cross in that moment. I could not fully agree with Gary, God wanted me to tell the Truth as much as I knew The Truth.
Thankful always the the grace of my God and King prepares me in advance, but I never really know what’s happening in the fullness, my job simply is “Rachel tell The Truth.”
So I obeyed My Lord. Yes you are like the rooster but let me tell you something, that is irrelevant to Jesus. Because God has used you to be the greatest reason He is The Lord of my life. He did it by using you. So, right or wrong, we have Christ Alone. And because of you I have Christ firmly planted and rooted In me, so I can’t even complain about anything, instead I have only forgiveness as Christ has forgiven me. This Love runs deep, it’s like a river, always flowing, keeping pure as I go with Jesus with my precious husband by my side, Trusting Jesus.
Oh Father thank you Jesus, how can this be, tears streaming down my face at the grace just exposed in such a regular moment of our always glorious mornings.

At the cross- “but as for me I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Galatians 6:14 Father You have shown me and sent me to the cross and it is where you lay me down. For I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me. The life I love in the body, I love by Faith in the son of God, Who Loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside The Grace of God, for of righteousness came through the law then Christ died for nothing. Galatians 2:20-21

This is the epicenter of forgiveness. Christ, The Risen King.

Later on that day as I took all this to The Lord in prayer I realized I would never consider myself like the rooster but God had indeed revealed to me plainly, only last year, that without Christ I am like Son, our donkey. A Stubborn Ass and apart from God I can do nothing. But with God, anything is possible!
God is My Redeemer! God is Good! We are Perfectly Loved!

Psalms 73:25-28
[25] Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. [26] My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. [27] Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you. [28] But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.

Glorious God if I who are called by name repent and turn from my wicked ways, You will hear from heaven and heal my land. Anyone who gathers here in this land will be blessed and wholly healed. So come eat, drink and partake of The Glorious Risen King. He is Worthy.
Emmanuel.

James 4:6-12
[6] But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” [7] Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. [8] Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. [9] Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. [10] Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. [11] Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. [12] There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

Joyfully His,

Rachel
