The Proud of Heart – The Foundation of all Suffering

“God allows that which he hates to accomplish that which He loves for His people” joni erickson tada. I never have articulated that with my own words but it’s what God has revealed to me plainly and precisely, personally and through His Word over and over again.
It started in the beginning, in the garden of Eden.
The pride of Unbelief. Believing that God was not good, He was not enough. The foundation of what God hates. Pride.
And what Love is He accomplishing by keeping pride alive? His chosen people bearing fruit by keeping with repentance (Matthew 3:8). The Foundation that God is all consuming fire. And He will not fail. He must accomplish All In the believer for His Namesake. He doesn’t fix (which is what our flesh wants), He makes new completely. So if something needs to be new, the old one must be destroyed. That’s what the cross represents. New Life. Not an old one dressed up in nice clothes. A complete obliteration of the old. Like Nicodemus we know He’s The Savior but we want to know Him without cost. We want to know Him and stay the same. We want to just keep Jesus in our mind and if left to ourselves that is where Jesus will stay. But as His child it will not be. It cannot. The cost of Christ was too high. He must become Lord of my heart through New Birth. I must become Born Again so He is owner, master of His child’s Life because He Is. Not because I want, but because God Loved me so much that He Gave His one and Only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have Eternal Life. John 3:16

God knows I am telling The Truth that I am most prideful of all people.. But Jesus.

For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. The law came in so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more. So that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord…  Romans 5:19-21

Where sin abounds Grace abounds much much more.
