This family has been a huge instrument of God’s blessings towards us since I met them in 2012.  I only met Joy at first and at that time (attending my first Bible study) she had only 3 littles (now she has 9 beautiful children and another on the way).

The way to my husband’s heart is through consistent character and hard work. And I prayed for years, send someone who can walk beside my husband like You Lord. I wondered, is there anyone who could? Through the hardest years of our marriage in 2020, in walked Nate, a steady, honest, consistent, faithful man of God. I cried the first time he came over, because when he left it was obvious that God sent him. I prayed again.  Keep bringing that one Lord. And He did. Nate had been trained up in advance, way before they knew each other, to be Gary’s friend and confident.

They both loved to work and so when they were together they never sat and talked, they worked and talked – this would be essential. My husband loves cigars, that’s his downtime, so when Nate would smoke one with him, that sealed the deal for Gary in fact Gary will sit and smoke a cigar with anyone who will partake with him. I remember crying one day to Joy in my home only a few years ago, because Nate has devoted his time here, God has used him to bless my husband, therefore me, like no other man ever could.

Watching this family live out the gospel of going and making disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit has been a gift to witness and emulate (Matthew 28:19-20). They may never have success as the world desires but the fruit of their work on The Vine is plentiful and always in Harvest.  I Praise God for them and pray daily for their crops to overflow for many to enjoy and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and Live for Him!
