God is Abundantly Rich in Love and Great is His Faithfulness. Yesterday the blessing of homeschooling allowed Grant and I to do an in depth study on God’s Faithfulness, just one of His Attributes. Christ reveals to me everyday while reading God’s Word just Who He is, how so often when we don’t know what to pray for, or when we get so caught up on praying our wants, when He already knows and provided our greatest need of a Savior. “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?” Matthew 6:25-27…… He always has and always is Faithful to provide. Praying simply, authentically, and wholly over Who God Is is enough because it is what He Gives; Faithfully. Why do we insist on putting our faith and trust in things less than our perfect, holy God? If it’s not The Lord of Lords and The King of Kings, we will all establish our faith in something or someone else. How and why we get wrapped up in trusting ourselves and other sinners to know what is best is why we get so easily depressed, lonely and disappointed. Is it any wonder? God created us to love Him more than anything and anyone else, so when we don’t or more so choose not to, we are weakened, disappointed, depressed, lonely, and hopeless. Simply put in His Word He knows that narrow is the gate and few find it. It’s a scary thought, because there are many people I love who have not yet put their faith in a Faithful God though His love, grace and mercy reigns in their life everyday, it is not yet noticed by them, we give ourselves the glory instead and He is not given the glory He deserves. They are God’s enemy. It brought me to the place of God’s Word reminding me that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. For some though it will be too late! Eternal life is now, not later. It begins now even in this broken world. When we live according to God’s Faithfulness, we have no fear, we have no sorrow, rather we have His Joy, His Peace. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 When we look at Who He Is we are significantly smaller, yet by His Grace we are deeply loved, by His Mercy we have been saved, by His great Love we have been redeemed, forgiven and we can confidently declare the Glory of God that is clearly seen in our lives. So much of our life is wasted, striving to pursue things, degrees, and work that will pass away when in reality all that striving is only a mere inch of time compared to the eternal infinite length of our future with Him. We are living out our eternal life now and God’s gift to us should change the way we live.
Jesus loves you.
