Ezekiel 20 displays a panoramic view of Israel’s history of rebellion. The emphasis is on Gods attempts to bring the nation back to Himself and on Gods mercy for His constantly rebellious and disobedient people. Dwell there for a moment and remember Who reigns and Who alone is Holy. Then move into the gospel of Mark and John and weep in humble submission at the lengths God went to to redeem His people. Jesus Christ deliverer of our sins, paid in full every wretched sinful act and sinful thought past, present and future, yet we reject The Perfect Christ Jesus and continue to live our same lives as slaves in bondage. Jesus came to save and redeem your life for His glory; there is no greater gift than His grace! He says “I am the only way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
