Father God, I pray that you would be with our new leaders. Give them wisdom, patience, endurance for the task that is set before them. Protect them and surround them with positive influencers.
I pray that we as Christians will set the example, shine the light. May we love one another so well that others look at us in wonder. I pray that Christians will stop compromising and going with the flow of our culture, but that we would be willing to stand boldly for what we believe in…even if we are called names, accused of terrible things, made fun of, or worse. I pray that we would care more about what you think of us than what others think. I pray that we would return to your BIBLICAL TRUTHS and live by them, steadfast and uncompromising. I pray that we will be gracious, kind, compassionate, and generous. I pray for unity in a nation that is divided.
Fill us with servant’s hearts that delight in doing for others. Help us to love one another well. Teach us your truth. Guide us as we walk in a fallen world. Be with us as we teach our children, go out into our workplaces, and live for you. Help us to bring you glory. Help us to love out loud. Thank you so much for your mercy and grace, even when we do not deserve it. Especially when we don’t deserve it. I love you so much.
Amen!
“I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy…Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you…for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord…who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel”. 2 Timothy 1
