Having The Mind of Christ

Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so! Think on this!!
I struggle with something that no one can see …only God. And as Christian’s we have to watch that because when we see people outwardly sin we instantly judge that behavior and in our minds we say I’m better than that person (and that’s a sin) but my sin is a sin of unbelief; not believing that God is Who He says He is. That He is Greater than my circumstances, good and bad! That His ways are perfect, That all things work together for the good of those who are called according to His purpose.  Because I forget How Great is Our God, I think we can all understand this sin; unintentionally we think we are in control of our circumstances, we think we know better than God. So you know what I have to do? I have to go to God’s Word and make every effort/strive for renewing my mind on The Truth. Phil 4:8 and Romans 12:1-5. When we think of striving we think of we have to do more things to earn God’s Love but God wants us to “do” this: take heed to our own thoughts …because in fact they are the most damaging to our walk and faith in Jesus Christ! Our thoughts, because they in the flesh are so sinful, if we don’t take heed grow our hearts hard, bitter, anxious, annoyed, fearful, impatient.

The Promises of God are the Promises of God! And God does not lie! God promised Abraham that he would be a Father of many nations – being a man of abundant faith and patience He trusted God even when Abraham was not shown that promise while he lived on earth.

A Call to Maturity – Hebrews 6:10-12
10 For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown for His name in ministering to [the needs of] the saints (God’s people), as you do. 11 And we desire for each one of you to show the same diligence [all the way through] so as to realize and enjoy the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.
