I did not ask for this, but because of Love, He Gave.

There’s something to be said about Gideon (Judges 6), a soft spoken, young man hiding behind his little job of threshing wheat. He was fine in the wine-press, minding his own business, when the angel of The Lord appeared to him and said “The Lord is with you, valiant warrior”
Gideon feared his own unfitness and unworthiness in the awful presence of God. But the Lord said “Don’t be afraid,” Gideon’s heart grew calm. The Lord added, “you will not die” This is what The Lord says to every poor trembler who is holding to Him by the desperate grip of faith. We will not die the second death. We have no sin to die for, for He has laid our transgressions on His Son. We will not die, for Jesus died. Your life is hidden with Christ in God (col 3:3). The capacities of service that God can infuse into a single individual are marvelous. At present we may be disturbed in mind, afflicted in heart, and ill at ease; we need perfect peace. We should not rest until we have it. At God’s alter where Jesus died, we will find it, and only there. When Jesus blood makes peace with God, there is our Peace.

Do you ever wonder about measuring up? Or rather distrusting where God has placed you?

When we come to understand that we aren’t here by accident, that this life is not about us but that we are here for a purpose we start living each day as if it is our last, everyday becomes a day of preparation.

Who wants to go through cancer, a divorce, a business that in it’s normal elements is filled with greed, consumes life, maybe the sin of thinking life is about you, everyone has Giants that God will overcome but do we believe that what He says is true?…. by God’s grace these things become His divine purpose. No man can thwart God’s power or His plan for the lives of His Sons and daughters. He graciously uses these things to recognize our need for Jesus Christ every moment of the day. Do we take the opportunities everyday that God gives to us to share His Love with those He puts in our path.

He delivered me.

When I met Gary I had no idea the life God had set before me. When we decided to walk away from our happy go lucky sales positions, and use the lucrative means to do our own thing, it seemed like a fun adventure. I knew I would not have to worry, because my husband always had an intense drive to do whatever necessary to provide. His life consisted of starting over many times, and he always made it happen. Now I know that was all God’s favor over the man. Because I often refer to the womb..did we ask the Lord to create us a specific way? No, He had His design in mind for him and me before the foundation of the world.

I always followed Gary’s lead and did whatever necessary to support him. I’ve always been a learner, just tell me what to do and I’ll do it. So off we went. All the basics of a small company were developing, people came in, people went out over the years. I had a nanny for my kids, Gary and I worked hard and we played hard and we loved our life. Though the kids and I spent every Sunday in church, The Lord was far from my heart. When Christ found me and took hold of me 11 years ago, is when everything changed. I became aware that The Lord wanted full access to me and to this business and He was gonna do it. I handed over to Him the business pretty quickly because what I loved before, my heart started wanting nothing to do with it. I saw greed, consumption, financial downfalls, the whole 9. In my finite thinking, I was sure God wanted it so He could take it away physically. I thought surely He hated that things that I hated about it. All the while waiting for Him to dissolve GMS, He lead me to start a prayer group within, not to be ashamed of Him, and to share with everyone that He was The Foundation. To my heart’s delight yet through much trial, He made all these things come to fruition. I still hated it, so I cried out to the Lord, “take this greed infested place, it is lonely and nobody cares about You.” Then He spoke through His Word and transformed my thoughts, Do you not know Who gives and Who allows everything? This is Mine, not yours to decide. Be content my child, precious Daughter, I am The Owner and I will run this show. I have called you to this, so I will qualify you. So I let go of my wants and surrendered my hopeful desire that God would get rid of GMS. He delivered me from myself, while still keeping me inside of the business. Upon Him giving me understanding, I changed immediately and became a steward, instead of an Owner. His Presence is the reason why I love so much this place today. It brings me to tears, His Faithfulness to do what He said He would do. This Amazing Grace of His Deliverance is what He does and it affects every aspect of Life because He is Perfect at delivering us from ourselves and grafting us Into Himself, Jesus Christ.

The Lord says do not worry…I Am Your Provider – Jehovah Jireh
Matthew 6:25-34 

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Job 38:4-7

4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
    Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
    Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
    or who laid its cornerstone
7 while the morning stars sang together
    and all the angels shouted for joy?

He says He will qualify the called.
He does not call the qualified
He knows those who fall way short of the task at hand, who can’t seem to measure up. But the truth is God is not measuring whether or not it will be successful by our abilities, He is measuring by His, for His Namesake. He is doing far more than we can ask, think or imagine in the state of our pleading, through The Spirit of Humility.

I can’t do it, I don’t have it in me, but You Will Lord and You will move Your Character through me by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

We will overcome, by The Blood of the Lamb and The Word of our testimony.

Trust and Obey cause there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to Trust and Obey.
