It is a Terrifying Grace when hidden sin or any sin comes into The Light. But it must. God in His goodness Loves us too much to allow us to continue down the path of destruction and despair. He keeps our Life so that we come to know our need, our dependence On The Risen King of kings.

It is a dangerous thing to think our children apart from Christ are good. God is clear when He says, the heart of man is desperately wicked, who can understand it. It is a beautiful grace to know that if He took His hands off of us, no sin would be impossible for us to commit. The most wicked of sin we would be able and willing to commit. Why does this Truth change us? Because any good that comes out, we can know without doubt that it is God. Be careful what you consider good, because there is always room for boasting in our goodness, always a motive if we dissect the reality behind our ‘goodness’. He says It is filthy rags apart from Christ, because He knows our sin. Our pride. Our desire to boast. But by His mercy and terrifying grace we are exposed and He Loves us still! The follower of Jesus is not shocked by the sin that comes out of others, we are sad, yes but His grace is sufficient and our words should speak this Truth, we need to let the captives know that God is after them, jealous for all of their affections, His power is made perfect in our weakness, to show them His Faithful Love and continual mercy. Knowing this breads humility and an extraordinary thankfulness! It is The Way, The Everlasting Love of Jesus Christ that causes us to be changed.

“For it is impossible to renew true repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the Heavenly gift, who shared in the Holy Spirit, who tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age, and who have fallen away. This is because, to their own harm, they are re- crucifying the Son of God and holding him up to contempt.” Hebrews 6:4-6

“No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11

“God’s time is always the best time. To deliver us just now might be to deprive us of the benefit of the trouble. We must bear it until it produces ‘the peaceful fruit of righteousness’.”

“For the Lord will not reject us forever. Even if he causes suffering, he will show compassion according to the abundance of his faithful love.” Lamentations 3:31-32
