Unbelievable Grace. How can this be that You Reveal to your daughter that You are Who You say You are and that Your Faithfulness is exposed continually in my life? The thing I thought for sure you didn’t love, is in Truth, Yours, therefore You Love it.

The family of God is absolute, a real thing. Its like the military, except we are In The Lord’s Army. How did we come in? By His Amazing Grace. Through The Blood of The Lamb, The Risen King Jesus. He Loved us and Chose us. Redeemed, Called out, set apart group of people created by God, Saved for God and from God through Jesus Christ. I’ll never forget the road traveled with God years ago in the beginning where I spoke to Him about what I hated about the business, the greed, the betrayals, people coming, people going, for different seasons for different reasons, the difficult roads that I believed were destructive and insignificant or a hinderance to our walk with God. Oh boy was I wrong.

“Instead God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame what is strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world– what is viewed as nothing to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His Presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

God did a work in me fairly quickly to walk in Obedience to Him and watch His faithfulness, even though I had my doubts. Surely, looking back, He was transforming my mind to have the mind of Christ. This became even more evident to me this week as we gathered to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday. 100 people from GMS joined us from all over the globe as Gary and I honored him and glorified God with his life. It was our gift from God To pray and encourage him with words of affirmation from us but from over 25 people at GMS who wanted to share about the boy they have grown to love and respect as a child of God. I was overjoyed to see God’s Abounding Faithfulness, His Love and His bringing the church together to Give Glory to God Who Gives Life. For anyone who owns a business knows that it becomes their life. And as a wife in support of her husband knows that “she didn’t ask for this”. But God Who reveals “no you didn’t ask for this, I gave it to you.” Thank you for comforting me with Your Sovereignty Father. I have thought over the many years, how devastating it would be if God was not in the business. But gratefully, He Is In this! He established it as His own since before the foundation of the world, He continues to bring believers and raise up leaders and this celebration of Grant’s 18th birthday was an epic reminder of His Faithfulness and how blessed it has been to raise up a boy to experience The Love of God not just at a church building but in this flawed company of people at GMS that God is growing, sustaining and thriving.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Psalm 1:1-3
