What do you do for fun?

I have had 2 chances to ponder this question that I can remember in the last 5 years.

Firstly,
I don’t really do anything for fun, meaning I don’t particularly go looking for fun, but rather I wait and let The Lord decide for me. Because I have experienced that what I think might be fun is nothing compared to what Fun My God has for me. Since He chose me first, I choose to let My King Lead.

But about 5 years ago I was sitting with a friend and we were sharing about life with Jesus together and she asks what do you like to do for fun? And I didn’t really know how to answer believe it or not. I didn’t know how to answer in a worldly way (I was delivered from worldly desires). So to my surprise all I could say was “this right here”. This is fun to me. Sitting with you sharing about Christ’s Love to us and learning what it means to follow Him. I don’t have anything else. She looked a little surprised, but so was I truly. But it was The Truth.

Then today, the question came again as I’m sitting in a new place, doing a new thing by the grace of God. I was there in a PT office getting evaluated by this precious young lady so she can help with my neck issues. Out of the blue She asks “what do you do for fun?” This time my response was pretty different from 5 years ago even. I couldn’t believe it again. “Well, I have a really deep rooted faith so I Love spending time with The Lord. And I love sharing about Christ with my brothers and sisters. I enjoy it so much.”

“Wow that’s awesome” was her response.

I couldn’t believe that through the word Fun, Christ was proclaimed out of my mouth. But it was The Truth. He is my fun, He makes everything fun, because He is The Light of my life. If God is for me, who can be against me. And that my friends is fun on many epic roller coaster levels. Let the True fun begin.

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 1 Peter 3:15

Child of God, How often do you spend time with The Lord of Lord’s, Your Father, Savior King Jesus, Friend?
