March 23, 2018 I will never forget a very impromptu conversation started by my little 10 year old baby girl. It was a Friday night and we were out to dinner, all 4 of us. She was relaxed, leaning up against me as she often does when she is sleepy. But even in her sleepiness, by The Awakened Spirit, The Wisdom of God spoke through her – “mom, when I was around 6 or 7 I used to be jealous of you cause I thought you were this perfect Christian and I was always wondering why I couldn’t be that way…. but now I understand, I know the Truth.” Oh sweet baby how I am so grateful for His Truth in you… I am just saved by Grace through Faith just like you. I will always do the things that I hate doing but the fact that I hate doing them is God’s repentant heart, His grace, His Humility, and that is the difference between a christian or not. Christian’s are not perfect, but by the Perfect Love of Christ we are saved and rescued, and Blessed are we that we Get To Come boldly to the throne room of His grace, cling to our Maker, our Creator, our Peace, our Joy, our Comforter, our Protector, our Deliverer, and receive ALL of His Benefits! I am so Eternally Grateful that We are daughters of The Risen King!
Olivia, in you telling me that, I was set free by you because expectations are everything, who or what you put your Faith in is crucial and absolutely Vital – No One is like God, no one is Perfect but Almighty God and this you know! So I am Praising God that you spoke this to me, and that He has given you His Wisdom to understand in which most people it can take a lifetime or sometimes never! I am grateful that in understanding you recognize that I am just a sinner like you, Saved by Grace through Faith is a tremendous, The Greatest Gift of God and a huge blessing when people know and understand that about one another, especially in The Church, because that breeds Love, Forgiveness, Compassion, and Understanding on those around you, in whatever you are confronted with! Those are exactly the characteristics I ask God to help me with every day!
To see her mom struggle, to see her mom stand and fight spiritual warfare, to see her mom hold-fast to her Anchor, to see her mom strive not in her doing but in her being (phil 2:12, heb 2:3), through the desperate clinging to The Savior’s Hem of His Righteous Robe, through the transforming of His Renewing, through surrendering, through repenting, through capturing thoughts and comparing them to The Holiness of God, through seeing others as Jesus sees them (lost and in need).
And then I recalled, I remembered what God has given me to do continually! He reminded me my goals again for 2018 are simply these… Hebrews 12:14-15 and 2 Peter 3:17-18 I will see to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, and that I will grow in the grace and knowledge of The Lord Jesus Christ.
To understand this Amazing Grace is The Precious Gift of God! Grace has been delivered, bestowed, and lavished on me by The Love of The Almighty Faithful Creator God of The Universe and in my receiving, in my undisputed Faith and Belief, I am Blessed in Him now and for All Eternity!
In His Name I Ask You Lord for Your Hand of Protection and Gift of Eternal Life to All Who Seek You!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
