The Lord brought to me a vision of hopelessness, right in front of my eyes last week of a man, ready to take his own life. I was in the midst of many and as I turned my face away, the tears flooded my face, I was overwhelmed with sorrow and burden for this man I did not know. Lifting my heart up to The Father immediately my heart cried, “help him Lord; You are a good Father and You Will show your Compassion on those even when they don’t recognize it.” Prayers were overflowing, and among some, songs were being sung to The Glory of God in this man’s presence. He had no idea. He was seated up high on a building, the area finally shut down by many police officers. The Spirit of The Lord was there and demonstrated Power that overcame his feeble attempts. Praise You Jesus. Over 2 hours of corporate prayer and concern for salvation among 8000 christian women, God’s grace continued on this man in his temporal state. Praise You Father, He finally walked off the ledge and onto solid ground. Prayerfully it was the solid ground of Jesus but maybe it was just the street solid ground which still God provided. God is the Savior of all people, only in a temporal sense, while of believers in an eternal sense. “For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the Living God, Who is The Savior of all men, especially of believers.” 1 Timothy 4:10 “Paul’s point is that while God graciously delivers believers from sin’s condemnation and penalty because He was their substitute, all people experience some earthly benefits from the goodness of God. They are 1. common grace, God’s goodness in restraining sin and judgement, maintaining order in society through government, enabling man to appreciate beauty and goodness and showering him with temporal blessings. 2. compassion God shows to undeserving, unregenerate sinners. 3. admonition to repent – God constantly warns sinners of their fate, demonstrating the heart of The Compassionate Creator Who has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. 4. the gospel invitation – salvation in Christ is indiscriminately offered to all. God is by nature a Saving God and He finds no pleasure in the death of sinners. His saving character is revealed even in how He deals with those who will never believe, but only in those 4 temporal ways.” J Mac

“If I am willing to be still in my Master’s hand, can I not then be still in everything? He’s got the whole world in His hands! Never mind whether things come from God Himself or from people – everything comes by His ordination and/or permission.” Elizabeth Elliott
